The Expulsion from Paradise by Tommaso di Ser Giovanni di Mone Cassai
c.1427. The painting follows the ideals of Christianity, defining the moment when Adam and Eve fall from grace. What I gathered from the image is they are walking out of a passageway from paradise, to a desert that is as bare as they. Eve is aware of her nakedness, and uses her hand to cover herself while Adam buries his face into his hands signifying his grief. The Angel seen above illustrates his/her anger by being red. When something is hot is turns red. I concluded this being hot under the collar, or hot tempered.
I relate this to my life because I have deviated from my ideals, and have followed the wrong paths. It is not until I feel the repercussions of my actions; I’ve realized I shouldn’t have done what I have done. I don’t like when I put myself in situations where there’s a point of no return, as there wasn’t for Adam and Eve, however, making mistakes has been a learning experience for me because I know in order to grow and prosper I must be willing to address my flaws.
